Reverend Octavious R. Wilson
Rev. Octavious R. Wilson was born and raised on Chicago's south side. In 2011 he received his BS degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University. While
matriculating through college, Rev. Wilson earned a diploma of Personal Training from the National Personal Training Institute in Chicago, IL. He currently owns a personal
training facility, Present Your Body Nutrition and Fitness in Midlothian, IL, and is the co-owner of the sports apparel line "Present Your Body Clothing". Rev. Wilson has a Master's in Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary located on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.
Rev. Wilson was raised at Carter Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal church and has been a member all of his life. He began ministry as a
young adult bible study teacher in 2008 and soon after accepted his call to preach in 2009. Rev. Wilson was licensed in 2010 and ordained a local Deacon in 2011. At the Annual Conference in 2012, he was appointed one of the assistant ministers at Carter Temple under the leadership of Rev. Allen Page, III.
Rev. Wilson now serves as Senior Pastor of the Israel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and is passionately engaged in creating ministry for the youth. He has made it his mission to build the Kingdom of God through them, as they are the future of the church.
Rev. Wilson has embraced his mission for the Kingdom by taking leadership in the establishment of the "Light Church". This ministry's focus is to provide a pallet for the youth to have a voice inside the church. He also participates in other ministries including the Next Level Drama ministry, M.U.T.E.D mime ministry, the audio/video ministry, and
the Beacon of Light prayer ministry.
In 2012 Rev. Octavious Wilson married the woman of his dreams, Mrs.
Elisa J. Wilson. In his spare time he enjoys reading, exercising, and
spending time with family. Rev. Wilson inspires to be a beacon of light
for this next generation and share the love of God to all he can reach.
His prayer is that God's Kingdom will come and His will be done on
Earth as it is in heaven.
